Starry-eyed Siblings

There are times in our lives when the sweetest darned things happen, and you have no choice but to go, "Aww!! Dammit that's too cute." 

Picture this - a video you come across Facebook of Ellen talking about 2 brothers who play pro-rugby (or 'Football' as the Americans like to call it - they don't even use feet!). The older brother donates his kidney to save his younger brother's life effectively ending both of their careers, but big brother didn't care. Cue scene right after the operation. Emotions running heavy between two brothers. And sitting there watching all this teary-eyed was... Well myself unsurprisingly. But right there with me was my 9 year old brother. All shiny-eyed and completely captivated by what brotherly love looks like on-screen.

Despite whatever failings we've had with regards to his upbringing as a family - I know that we're raising him up to be a good person. And seeing his empathy in action was just so rewarding. Few things in life compare to that feeling, guys. Very few things.
