"What have I done!?"
Embarrassing Moments
are odd creatures. Its born when something goes wrong. Horribly
wrong, but at the time it's happening you're clearly not in your right senses,
else you would've stopped it from happening. The fledgling then morphs into a man-eating giant as you progress through the consequences of your stupidity with every passing second.
The brain can be very fast in processing things AFTER you've done something stupid. How convenient.
It's just one of those days where I wish I'd stayed home today. And the Universe is making it a point to tell me the same. Repeatedly. Maybe I can just step out of today and pretend none of this ever happened.
No such luck.

Don't get me wrong,
embarrassing moments are funny when they happen to others, and we really don't
think about it after a while. But being the cause of said moment - I don't know
about you guys, but they stay burnt into my memories forever.
Some of them are
truly funny - even you can't deny it once you get over the feeling of shame (I
lie. You never get over it.)
Like the time you
send a draft email to multiple people in the office. And your subject says
"DRAFT" in CAPS. And you CC the wrong person.
Or when you're just
a week into your new job and dance like a crazy person (and you know you can't
dance.) You win an iPhone out of it, and you're feeling this pride and
exhilaration and set home feeling great. Only to wake up staring at your
ceiling the next morning, remember dancing with people you barely knew and
strutting your stuff - basically holding up a Neon Sign to yourself saying,
"LOOK AT ME,
I'M THE OFFICE NOOB WHO CAN'T DANCE, BUT IS DOING IT ANYWAY 'CUZ I'M AN
ATTENTION WHORE!
P.s. I'm actually a
nice person."
And then there are
the more depressing embarrassing moments, that make you question deep and dark...
stuff about yourself.
Like the time you
broke down in front of your boss in a teary, snotty mess, because you couldn’t
handle the pressure of almost having cost him his job (unknowingly).
Or during the same
week, where under all the pressure, you've basically been Tardy-Tina, and that
resulted in a confrontation with the HR Manager and your bus driver telling you
not to be late again.
Oh Gawd. Will there
ever be an end to this?
It's just one of those days where I wish I'd stayed home today. And the Universe is making it a point to tell me the same. Repeatedly. Maybe I can just step out of today and pretend none of this ever happened.
No such luck.
What were your most
embarrassing moments? Can they beat mine? Let me know in the comments (if
anyone's reading this at all. xD)
Until next time, my
fellow-minions.
